Abstract. Article describes a clinical case of late diagnosis of antisynthetase syndrome, the manifestations of which, before the patient was hospitalized, were mistakenly assessed by doctors first as rheumatoid arthritis, and then as systemic scleroderma. Modern approaches to the diagnosis of this rare autoimmune syndrome are presented.
